Sony XNV-770BT - navigation system - display 7 in - in-dash unit - Double-DIN review: Sony XNV-770BT - navigation system - display 7 in - in-dash unit

Despite a few forays into the world of turn-by-turn navigation and two generations of Nav-U portable GPS devices, Sony simply isn't a manufacturer that comes immediately to mind when most of us think "navigation." Instead most think of a brand like...

The Sony XNV-770BT features an extra-sharp 7-inch touch-screen display and checks all of the audio and video playback boxes we like to see with iPod, USB, and Bluetooth connectivity. An external GPS module essentially puts a TomTom navigation device...

The menu structure can be a bit clunky, requiring multiple button presses to jump between the device's three modes. The navigation interface runs at a lower resolution than the screen's native resolution, causing maps to look blurry relative to the...

Rather than reinvent the wheel, Sony's newest all-in-one car audio receiver pairs a brilliant 7-inch display with GPS navigation powered by TomTom. The result is almost the best of both worlds, but we'd like to see a bit more integration.

Sub-Par. Do Not Buy

The displays lack any features, colors or displays you will normally find with most popular DVD recivers. A lot of factory nav systems that I have used have better user interfaces than this unit. This unit is a dis service to someone wanting to expand...

Has almost every feature you can find or ever want

Interface is terrible for any level of aftermarket reciever

Buyer Beware

Bad expirence do not recomend. Hopefully it is only related to my unit. but if not I think Sony dropped the ball on this one.

Great GPS and picture quality on DVDs

Menues are a pain as well as slow, AV sources will randomly change to something else cant get rid of warnings

Best product I have seen

After looking at OEM and aftermarket in-dash GPS for Audi A4, I selected this product. Lots of cheap China knockoffs and unscrupulous dealers. BEWARE. BestBuy Geek Squad installed with Sony back-up camera for about $200. Excellent, flawless install....

Awesome Radio Sweet Looking Screen

I put this in my car thinking that it was just another mediocre Sony unit. After I put it in I was shocked to see how much Sony has evolved. This unit relies fully on Tom Tom navigation which most people have at least heard of are familiar with to some...

Homerun with TomTom Navigation, Best Looking Screen in the Market, Very Easy to Use, iPod very useful, SensMe is Awesome

Sirius Interface lacking

be careful

Be caution buying this item, as i have 2 gps units from Sony, now deleted from their production line, and their last update for mapping was back in 2009. It is ridiculous that Sony would make a product and then not make any new updates for their...
