The modestly upgraded LG Cosmos 2 remains a great way to get a texting phone on the cheap for Verizon Wireless customers.
Great call quality. Roomy QWERTY keyboard. Solid feel. Good music player.
No 3G. Weak camera. Middling reception.
Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions LG upgraded the Cosmos 2’s headphone jack to a standard-size 3.5mm one and added a music player app, but also moved the side-mounted microSD card slot to underneath the battery cover; two steps forward, one step...

Even though LG expanded its smartphone presence in the U.S. with phones like the LG Revolution and the T-Mobile G2X , the company still makes plenty of simple messaging phones for those who want something a little more basic. The LG Cosmos 2 is the...
The LG Cosmos is a compact messaging phone with a sharp display and roomy keyboard. You get slight improvements over the original, like a 3.5mm headset jack and a music player. Features include a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, Bing search, and a...
The LG Cosmos 2's social networking functions are simply text messaging shortcuts. Overall design and features aren't dramatically different from the predecessor. It does not have EV-DO.
As long as you don't have high expectations, the LG Cosmos 2 makes for a well-built entry-level messaging phone for the budget-conscious Verizon customer.

With so much attention given to smartphones by their manufacturers and wireless providers, you'd think those were the only devices available for purchase. Thankfully this is not the case, as there are still easy-to-use basic phones out there, and some...

Calls and speakerphone: We found calls on the LG Cosmos loud and clear for both us and callers. In fact, it was so loud we needed to occasionally use the side volume keys to lower the sound. Using the speakerphone didn't degrade call quality, and we...

I bought this phone 2 years ago and used a $35/month pay-as-you-go Verizon plan on it. It was an inexpensive setup and the phone was pretty reliable. There is a bit of a lag when texting sometimes, and after 2 years the battery is running out rapidly,...
QWERTY Keyboard easy to use. Numbers above keyboard. I paid $40 for it. Call quality is decent. Messaging is reliable. Convenient size.
There is a lag when texting sometimes. Internet access is useless (I never needed it, luckily). No capacity for group texting. Memory is small.

I got this phone for $50 with a $50 mail-in rebate, so technically it was free. One can't ask for much from a free phone. Calls never drop for no reason with this phone, and they're always clear. The camera takes relatively good pictures, though...
Relatively good camera. User-friendly navigation. Long battery life. Keyboard. Zero dropped calls. Standard headphone jack. Sturdy.
Edge buttons become useless. Media messaging is extremely sluggish, when it works. Number pad malfunctions.

the phone was so bad that i ended up breaking it in one of my temper tantrums, (the double click ok deleted a hot chicks phone number that i pick up at a bar)just opt for a touchscreen.it has an issue with the okay button where you hit it once and it...
cheap, thats about it
the okay button is annoying, camera sucks,

Quite possibly the worst designed phone ever. The processor takes forever to keep up with your input, Daily scoop runs ads that take 10 s to get rid of, and all while this chaos ensues you accidentally turn the speakerphone off 30 times. And you can't...

This is my third Cosmos 2 in 9 months and still does not work properly. This thing constantly shuts itself off or reboots. My wife has the same phone and when you receive a text on hers it goes to apps, so it takes a few minutes to use almost every...
Takes good pictures, clear phone calls
Very slow, unstable!
