The final member of AT&T's LTE smartphone 2011 lineup is at the start line, ready to impress. The HTC Vivid is joining the company of the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and LG Nitro HD in a bid to defend the reputation of the Taiwanese company.
Quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G support ; 21 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA ; LTE network compatibility ; 4.5" capacitive LCD touchscreen with qHD resolution (540 x 960 pixels); Gorilla glass ; Android OS v2.3.4 Gingerbread with HTC Sense 3.0 ; 1.2 GHz...
Screen performance is not on par with the best offerings ; At 177 grams, the device is downright heavy ; The glossy finish plastic is fingerprint and dust magnet; especially on the black version ; No dedicated camera button
Back in April when we caught the first look of the HTC Sensation 4G, we were thrilled by its design and complete feature set. It was obvious that HTC had put a massive effort into developing it.

HTC's been around this block before -- the LTE one, that is. Back in March, the manufacturer was the first to hold Verizon's hand as it tested the 4G waters...

HTC Vivid (AT&T)
The ; has a nice, large screen, an excellent camera, and great specs all around. It supports 4G LTE as well.
Mediocre call quality on the Vivid and a cheap plastic chassis dampen the experience. The battery obstructs access to the microSD card.
If you can overlook the cheap plastic design, the HTC Vivid delivers an all-around excellent user experience at a palatable price.
Avis d'expert par : Jamie Lendino (pcmag.com)
The HTC Vivid is a powerful Android phone with a beautiful screen and fast 4G LTE data on AT&T's brand new network.
Gorgeous, high-resolution screen. Very fast LTE data speeds. Robust contact management.
Heavy. A little sluggish. Ineffective voice dialing. Spotty AT&T LTE coverage (for now).
Inside is a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 APQ8060 dual-core processor. It performed in the middle of the pack for dual-core phones, though its Nenamark 2 frame rate score (at 30 fps) was barely half that of the Skyrocket's; this isn't as good a gaming...

Seriously making it affordable on any budget, the $199.99 on-contract HTC Vivid seems remarkably priced to offer plenty of value for the dollar – while introducing us to the capability of AT&T's next-generation data network...

HTC has developed a smartphone, Vivid. It is enabled with 4G network and features 8MP camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash. Operating on Android platform, you can explore lots of new functions with this mobile handset. The most amazing part of this...
Excellent camera ; Classy design ; Good processor
Very expensive ; Older version of Android OS
HTC Vivid Review reveals that this smartphone is definitely a boon to the price. Featuring a cool camera and handling the 4G LTE network, providing so much storage space and running on the Android stuffed in with features. The Vivid is capable of...

Our full review of the HTC Vivid on AT&T
Crisp, easy to read qHD screen ; Decent battery life (when 4G isn't running) ; 4G ; 8MP f/2.2 camera
Heat generated from back of device ; Uncomfortable and heavy form factor ; Poor speaker volume ; Light leakage from top and bottom of screen
While the HTC Vivid is a decent performer on all fronts and has 4G capabilities (where available), the price for said performance just isn't on par with other devices on the market today. That said, some do like a little heft to their devices, and...

The HTC Vivid is HTC's latest phone, built for AT&T's fledgling LTE network. There's a lot here that makes us feel right at home -- the Vivid is a combination of the best HTC h...
You now have a choice of LTE Android phones on AT&T, and all of them are a good choice. Specs are similar, performance is similar, hell they even look similar. If you're a fan of HTC Sense, it's a no brainer -- get the Vivid. If you're not, look at one...
Avis d'expert par : Bruce (htcphones.net)
AT&T brings the HTC Vivid in to fill the gap it created by leaving its customers with a “not-that-much” choice among Android and HTC phones. Though high end Android smartphones are popping up around so frequently, AT&T so far had only the Inspire 4G...
HTC has not reached an ideal in making the HTC Vivid, but the phone is good anyway. Once people make their decision to have this phone, they stick to it and nothing can darken its image, even if it has slight disadvantages. The characteristic trait of...
