Horrible Brightness issue

 

Honestly a mistake I don't know how they allow.

None, this is a below acceptable monitor when you notice the brightness can't change and is useless

Looks good

Only provides analog cable, not DVI cable. Had to run to Best Buy to get a cable so I could plug it in to my computer

Terrible color

 

I ordered 2. Both are bad for color. I develop code, so the screen real estate is more important for me than accurate color. And at the price it was hard to pass up. It's an upgrade from 1440x900.

inexpensive

Everything else... I've never worked on a monitor with as poor of color reproduction in my life. Everything is really washed out. Even using the monitor's color settings AND Windows color profiles does not correct for the terrible color

You get what you pay for, I guess.

 

I think my real lesson here is that monitors are something that should be shopped for in the meat world, not online. It's hard to judge performance from an ad-speak laden order page.

On the upside, it did actually work, wasn't damaged, didn't require lengthy setup process or mucking around with drivers

However, this monitor is absolutely awful. It is extremely bright and has terrible contrast, washing colors out to an almost eye-watering degree. Gradient hues may as well not exist--for example, the Newegg site appears to be all white rather than...
