The TomTom GO LIVE 1535M offers excellent traffic reporting and smoothly integrated, Internet-based services, albeit at a cost.

Accurate routing. Informative display. Internet-based services are a nice extra. HD traffic reporting is a standout.

HD Traffic and Internet services cost $60 per year to renew. Occasional GSM buzz over car stereo speakers. Clumsy POI search.

I was able to pair the TomTom with my Motorola Droid, although it took a few tries. Sound quality for the person on the other end of the line was clear but tinny. The TomTom did successfully retrieve my phone’s address book though.

"Jams car radio"

 

I've lost my confidence in the unit and TomTom and will be returning it tomorrow. Perhaps a replacement would work better but this should not have occurred with this unit.

I bought it at WalMart for 200.00. I was intrigued with the voice navigation feature. The unit functioned as expected.

When I turned on the car radio a speaker shattering buzz resulted. The unit apparently has a shielding problem.

"I need a good GPS for work."

 

You start the trip and it says stay on this highway for 22 miles then exit. But during that 22 miles it tells you not to exit on almost every off ramp. I want to know where to get off and not be bugged at every exit with it telling you not to take that...

I am not reviewing this specific device but tom tom in general. I am sure they all use the same software to get you from point a to point b.

It gets you from a to b but can be really annoying.
