An entry level GPS unit has a downsized display and a Bluetooth hands-free speakerphone
Compact size, good navigational experience, fast GPS fix and re-routing times, Bluetooth hands-free speakerphone, ecoRoute function
Small screen, no lane guidance, maps lack a little detail
The inclusion of a Bluetooth hands-free speakerphone makes the Garmin nuvi 1260 GPS unit good value for money. If the smaller display and the limitations it brings doesn't concern you, then this GPS unit offers an excellent navigational experience for...

Most GPS devices today support multiple vehicle profiles, including one for pedestrian modewhich is often just an automobile mode that avoids highways and ignores one-way streets. But Garmin's new nüvi 1260T ($299.99 list) changes all that. When...
Small form factor. Enhanced pedestrian mode. Subscription-free lifetime traffic
Expensive. Pedestrian mode doesn't use moving maps if GPS signal is available. Public transportation routes with optional cityXplorer could be improved
The pedestrian-friendly Garmin n?vi 1260T is thinner, sleeker, and more expensive than the 265T. Unless you plan to use the enhanced pedestrian mode and purchase optional maps, you're better off with the otherwise similar 265T.
Avis d'expert par : Craig Ellison (pcmag.com)
The enhanced pedestrian mode on the nüvi 1260T makes it easier than ever to get around town—even when using public transportation.

Over the past few years, larger screens have been the trend for dashboard GPS devices. Devices with a 4.3in screen have almost completely replaced devices with 3.5in screens. Still, some people might prefer a smaller-screen device. And, often, but not...
If you're looking specifically for a 3.5in navigation device with a Bluetooth phone interface, the Garmin Nuvi 1260T is a good choice. If, however, Bluetooth isn't your main focus, there are better-value alternatives available elsewhere. Shop carefully...
Avis d'expert par : Craig Ellison (macworld.com)
A very capable 3.5-inch navigator with a good Bluetooth phone interface. Larger screen devices with similar feature sets are available at similar or lower prices.
Other than screen size, there are just a few. First, the 1260T has a Bluetooth interface that's not included on the 1350T. For some, the lack of a Bluetooth phone interface could be a deal-breaker. The other major difference is that the 1260T lacks...

The Garmin nüvi 1260T is a mid-level unit in a recently introduced line of Garmin GPS navigators. All of the units in the 1200, 1300 and 1400 series come with customizable data fields and the ability to utilize the pedestrian and mass transit features...

I have used a handful of GPS navigation toys and have to say this one works the best for the car. Small but big enough to see the screen clearly. The Free map upgrade when registering is a plus. Can download some fun stuff. Custom cars and voices are a...

If you are planning to get a smart Android phone. This will be redundant. I just got an Android phone, and I am very happy about it...plus the GPS works great..
I am very happy about this. Once I got it, i update the map to the latest version. I believe it is 2012

You can't go wrong with Garmin. It has taken me to the door of many places I would have had a hard time finding without it.
This is a good unit, lifetime free traffic in exchange for some minor popup ads. If you don't need traffic it is easily turned off. Unit can get one free map update when you get it. The hand free blue tooth is very handy for hand-free talking when...
