The Amazon Fire TV Edition sets from Toshiba and Insignia are inexpensive and feature an excellent built-in smart TV system. So how to they compare to Roku?
Amazon Fire TV Edition TVs are among the least expensive TVs on the market. Voice features are best-in-class, every model includes a voice remote and Echo and Dot owners can control it with Alexa. App selection is superb and responses are fast.
It has worse picture than TCL's cheapest Roku TVs and Vizio's E series TVs. The user interface promotes TV shows and movies from Amazon and its partners that you probably don't care about.
Although Alexa and Amazon fans will have a lot to love, most budget shoppers will be happier with TCL's Roku TV models.

The Toshiba Fire TV Edition is a very affordable 4K HDR TV with all the benefits of Amazon's Alexa voice assistant and Fire TV streaming media platform, but you can get a much better picture by spending just a little more.

The Toshiba Fire TV is a decent but basic 4k TV. It delivers decent overall picture quality, but although the TV has a high native contrast ratio capable of prod...
Deep and uniform dark scenes Powerful Alexa voice assistant
Mediocre HDR Many functions require an Amazon Prime account Image degrades when viewed at an angle
The Toshiba Fire TV is a decent TV for mixed usage. It does not excel in any particular area, but it performs decently in almost all. It is very responsive due to its fast response time and low input lag and is suitable for a relatively bright room....

The smart TV category is ripe for the appearance of another strong competitor to Google's dominance and Roku's ubiquity among less-expensive sets, but the Toshiba 55-inch 4K Fire TV Edition (55LF621U19) won't be the model that turns the tide in...
Amazon's Fire TV OS is easy to navigate ; Built-in Alexa ; HDR support
Aggressive advertising ; Confusing app store ; Mediocre picture and sound
The Toshiba 55-inch 4K Fire TV Edition (55LF621U19) is the best Amazon-branded smart TV we've seen, but mediocre hardware and over-aggressive advertising still weigh it down.
Avis d'expert par : John R. Quain (tomsguide.com)

Rock bottom price Amazon Fire TV with Alexa smarts
Less than accurate colors Lack of brightness
A bargain-priced set, the Toshiba 4K Fire TV Edition is a prime example of what you can get for a little money—as well as what you'll miss—in an inexpensive 4K set.
