Intro Editors' note, November 15, /2007 The rating on this review has been lowered from 7.5 to 7.2 due to changes in the competitive marketplace.
Best black-level performance of any non-CRT we've tested yet; resolves every detail of 1080i resolution sources; image stays relatively true from off-angle for an LCD; distinctive two-tone styling.
Inaccurate color temperature; irregular bands across screen visible in some scenes; lacks picture-in-picture; no PC input.
Although it delivers the deepest color of black we've seen yet, a couple of picture quality problems keep the Sharp LC46D62U from being a top, high-end LCD choice.

Nice picture while it lasted.
Did not las 2 years and no picture. Repair center says it probably isn't worth the cost of the repair. We will replace with a Samsung! Will never purchase Sharp again if there is ANY possible choice.

Would not buy again, would not recommend to anyone at any price. Go with the cheepest you can find you will get the same service from a VISIO as you get from SHARP on Apr 29, 2012
NONE very disappointed whan I took it out of the box. Looked much better in the store.
No where to get service. They use third party service men that do not care, because it was not their sale to start with.

Don't shell out a lot of money for a television that may only last 5 years and don't buy Sharp because they have done nothing to help fix this problem.
Beautiful black piano frame
Just like other reviewer...the television has been broke since December...didn't even last 5 years let alone the 20 years advertised at the time of sale!
