Insignia NS-30HTV

 

At a little more than $500, this 30-inch wide-screen HDTV seems a bit too good to be true. Sure, it's bulky by flat-screen standards, but you can overlook a couple extra pounds for a price like this. Is that all you'll have to overlook?

Inexpensive; smooth video processing with 2:3 pull-down to remove jagged lines; customizable input memories.

Bulky compared to slim CRTs and flat LCDs; DVD and HDTV sources using component-video input produce green tinge in dark areas; relatively soft image quality; only one input for component video and none for HDMI.

The Insignia NS-30HTV can display wide-screen HDTV and costs a relative pittance, but for most people the savings won't justify its problematic picture quality.

Generally, I like it.

 

I didn't do a whole lot of research when I bought this TV and I did so without realising everyone would be eventually switching over to Digital. For the price, I felt it was a better option than a 32 inch TV for sure!The remote is a nice ...

looks nice, solid TV, digital, picture size

sometimes goes black when changing the channel or turning on (not often)
