The GeChic On-Lap 1302 is a super-thin 13.3-inch portable monitor that uses USB power but gets video from a digital or analog signal. Color quality is solid on this sleek looking monitor, but the panel has dark grayscale and viewing angle issues.

Super thin and stylish design. USB powered. Uses HDMI or VGA signal. Good color and small text reproduction

Narrow viewing angles. Weak dark grayscale performance. Stand bricks are ugly and ineffective

GeChic covers the On-Lap 1302 with a standard one-year warranty. The monitor ships with a pair of Brick Stands, a mounting plate, two Y-cables (HDMI and VGA), a user manual, and a quick start guide.

Though the On-Lap 1302 display itself is rather ho-hum, you can have a two display setup wherever you go, even if you're working out of your local library or coffee shop.

decent raspberry pi monitor

 

i bought this for the purposes of connecting it to a raspberry pi. after tweaking the hdmi_group and hdmi_settings in the config.txt file, the display works as expected

thin, detachable cords

detachable cord uses a non-standard plug, viewing angles could be better

Great monitor

 

i find it very useful to be used in the data center, on servers that has front vga and usb ports, so you don't need to run to the back to find power outlet.

easy to use ; convenient, no need to find power outlet ; vga compatibility is great to have, it's hard to find other usb-powered monitors that have it

color is not that great ; provided cables are short and vga connector pins are fragile, i use extension cables for usb and vga to workaround that

Great monitor you can take anywhere with you and use standard ports like vga and hdmi ; Resolution is amazing and adjustable brightness/contrast is a nice feature

stands are not that convenient to carry around, screen attachment to laptop is sturdy but only useful to just one laptop once mounted ; screen doesn't fill up full width of bezel
