The only reason why I'm giving this a 4 star review is because the remote isn't necessarily necessary to operate the Shield TV. It definitely helps for people who aren't used to a game pad. I got this free with the Shield TV purchase, so it's hard not...

Voice commands on the remote don't initiate and with a simple Goolge search I found it seems to be in the majority of the remotes. Ugh!

The remote design, functionality and feel are perfect. I love the piano finish on the front and brushed metal finish in the back. I also love the voice search feature, it is accurate and picks up on other languages as well. It also has a headphone jack...

The NVidia Shield is absolutely awesome. This remote that goes with it ... also awesome. I did not even realize it had a hidden volume slider on it. You can't see it, but if you slide your finger up and down the middle it will move the volume up and down.
