It does the job...

Bought it for my girlfriend to have with her laptop while away at school. So far it works and does it job

Supposedly you need software for the zooming and side-to-side clicking deal, but we haven't been able to find it on the Logitech website, but not a big deal. She's not sold on "fancy features

Great basic mouse

 

Don't down rate it because it's not fancy and expensive. Not all of us need expensive mice.

I got this to replace a broken ball mouse I was using on a server at work. It's a great mouse, it works. If you need a basic cheap mouse for web surfing, and operating a GUI, you found it ; It's still working great a year later

Missing Software

 

I'm using the software from my old A4Tech. Lets the center (roller) button pan in many applications, like the hand in Adobe Reader (which I replaced with Foxit Reader -- much better). I'm using a bean-bag mouse rest and it is a very nice mouse to use...

Lighter weight than most mice, good tracking, high resolution gives more speed at high screen resolutions than the older generics

Cannot get software that works with it from the web site. No side scrolling. Tried Mouseware and Set Point. One of those installers crashed XP

This is my second Logitech optical mouse. It works quite well - like the first - even on the couch as a pad. The sideways scroll by tipping the wheel was unexpected and I may learn to use it someday. A good product at a great price.
