A well made, reasonably priced scale that does its' job

I went to this scale after using the Salter kitchen scale which can measure up to 11 pounds. I found the Salter to be inconsistent when measuring very small quantities (eg. 18 grams) of coffee beans. By this I mean that it would literally add or...

A well-considered, nicely-built, fully featured scale suitable for household coffee-related tasks.

I had been using a ‘Fresco' brand kitchen scale. Its range was 0 to 5 kg (5000g) with a resolution of 1g. I had several problems with it: First of all, small errors around zero were not reliably removed and when weighing consecutive batches, I would...

This is a great scale. It works so much better than the general-market versions. Now I can eliminate dose volume as a problem when I troubleshoot my e

After a year-and-a-half I was getting pretty consistent shots from my Silvia. I got the idea that I could get more consistency if I could weigh my beans a little more precisely. The scales I had been using were one-gram accuracy. (there are about 8...

Super Sensitive. Weight will change on a one or two bean change ; Accurate response. No dithering around about the number ; Other neat functions that I'll probably never use ; Easy to read display

Display light goes off too quick

Inexpensive, widely available mass market consumer scale works as well as over-priced Salton 3001

This is an inexpensive, widely available mass market consumer kitchen scale. It measures to 1g accuracy in the almost the entire range, which is adequate for my needs that, at $16.88, shows you exactly how overpriced the ubiquitious Salter 3001 is at...

Digital scale accurate to 1g, switchable between ounces and grams. 4.4 lbs (~2kg) capacity. Digital tare weight function. Auto shutoff. Easy-to-read screen. Inexpensive

Only accurate to 1g, not 0.1g. Switching between oz ang g is controlled by a toggle switch on the bottom of the unit. Auto shutoff feature is annoyingly quick to activate (turn off the unit). Cheap construction, made in China

Psst. want any Columbian mate?

These are real drug dealer's scales. 1 - 200 gm in 0.1 gm increments. 1 bean is about 0.1 gm, so it's pretty precise. I was looking to increase the consistency of the amount of coffee I used per pull, and didn't see the point in getting one precise...

It's small, light and precise. The cover doubles as the weighing container, which is just big enough for 14 gm for a double

It's a bit too small. Something 50% bigger would have been better for the kitchen counter

A great scale for roasting, brewing, cupping, etc, at a great price!

I love this scale. I use it everyday at the shop to weigh out coffee for drip, french press, and whole bean sales. I also use it at my house for roasting. I have used this scale for cupping and it worked just fine for me. I wish the scale was...

Very easy to use ; Great cost vs. value ; Accurate enough for most any application ; (1 gram sensitivity 0-1kg, 2 gram sensitivity 1-2kg or 1/8 oz sensitivity) ; Scale can be re-zeroed ; Looks great (IMO) ; Lithium battery included ; Easily switches...

The best little scale I have used!

This is a fantastic little scale, I use it only for coffee, but it measures up to 5lbs so it will handle just about anything. I find all my coffee tastes better if I have some way to measure it out accuratly, so it is consistant. I used to put in a...

Large surface area- about the size of a saucer, holds just about everything nicely ; Auto shut off, tare, and will switch between grams and lbs ; Increments of 1/8 oz or 1 gram (up to 1 Kg- then by 2gr) ; Very accurate

None that I have found

The My Weigh 6001T Scale is excellent value for the money and has a broader range than most digital kitchen scales available for the price.

After a lot of searching, I found a most useful home scale. It is the My Weigh 6001T Scale. It is a 13 lb/6kg Multi-Purpose Digital Scale that displays weights in pounds, ounces, kilograms, and grams. It has a usable range of up to 6 kg, in 1-gram...

Large well labeled buttons make the unit easy to use and the large LCD dispay is easy read

The neon blue plastic housing detracts from the look of the unit. The unit would also do well to have an easier calibration procedure

It does the job, it's reasonably cheap, and very compact.

The Upton Teas Digital Pocket Tea Scale is an excellent addition to your coffee (and tea) kitchen. I like my French Press coffee, my Aerobie Aeropress, and (especially) my espresso shots dosed with the appropriate amount of coffee.

It's quite small -- about the size of a TI calculator, an (optional) 200g tare calibration weight is available, its max capacity is well within my requirements

It may be a little slow to "boot up." It only handles 200g (max)
