Upgrade to the s420-245a cameras (they have sony ccd), The picture quality is much better, as is the Night vision distance.

the price drop 100 bucks right after I bought it, so that did not make me happy, but I do like the features in the unit and it set up in no time at all, however the cameras are certainly not the best I'll have to upgrade what was sent if i want true...

Great Product and Customer Service

 

I purchased the 8500. Very simple to install and operate. One of 4 way splitter was bad. contacted customer service by email and a new one sent same day. i would buy another tomorrow. i have recommed to friends. great bang for buck.

Only setup 1 camera with remote viewing thru Internet. Plan to setup the rest by this weekend.

Works like a charm

 

We had a 2 year old other brand 4 ch. DVR that was having interference problems within the 4 ch. video card which the system detected as motion so it was almost always recording. So I bought a Night Owl Lion that is about 1/3rd the price of the other...

Excellent picture quality. Easy set-up. Low cost. Well written manual. Great remote viewing interface

None yet other than it supports a lot of smart phone, but not Android. The manual says there's a download on their site, but it's not there
