As a feature-rich, versatile smart home camera that just works, the Canary Flex stands out from the pack.
Weatherproof ; Rechargeable battery ; Easy-to-use app ; Unique membership benefits
No local storage ; Battery not user-replaceable
It’s clear that Canary has put a lot of thought and effort into the Flex. It is well made, easy to use, and effective. No matter how approachable it may be, however, some people will still have to get over the “creepy” factor before installing an...

A versatile security cam for both indoor and outdoor use
Good image quality ; Relatively inexpensive ; Nicely-designed app
Limited features without subscription ; No HomeKit support yet
The Canary Flex is a great option for those that want a versatile camera that can be used both inside and outside the house, especially if you aren't looking for modern niceties like a “works with Nest” stamp or extensive smart home support. The Canary...

Canary's versatile Flex redefines what a home security camera can do.
Canary's $199/£159 Flex installs fast, it's well designed and its app is easy to navigate. It's also a highly versatile camera that can watch over your house from pretty much anywhere.
The Flex is limited to 720p HD live streaming, it has a smaller 116-degree field of view and it currently only works with Wink for smart home integrations.
The Canary Flex isn't perfect, but its adaptability, simple app interface and excellent design make it a great choice for anyone who needs a lot of flexibility in their home security setup.

The Canary Flex security camera offers a variety of unique mounts so you can connect it anywhere, but the software needs some fine-tuning, particularly if you have a mesh Wi-Fi setup.
Can be plugged in or work on battery power. Nice mounting hardware.
Currently does not work well with mesh networks. Battery life issues. Image quality leaves room for improvement.
Canary makes an excellent all-in-one security system for inside the home, and PCMag can continue to recommend the Canary All-In-One with confidence. But while the hardware for the Flex is promising, particularly the range of unique mounting options,...

Canary's $199/£159 Flex definitely lives up to its name. Not only is this rechargeable, battery-powered indoor/outdoor security camera portable, its strong magnetic base and swiveling body design make it extremely easy to find the right viewing angle....

Canary's second home security product, the Canary Flex, isn't as ambitious as its first. It's a small indoor/outdoor camera with a magnetic mount, and it can operate on either battery or AC power. It has night vision, a passive infrared motion sensor,...

A review of Canary's outdoor security camera, the Flex. Updated following the introduction of Membership subscriptions.
Avis d'expert par (which.co.uk)
While most smart security cameras are fit for indoor use only, the Canary Flex tackles both the indoors and outdoors. It records HD video with a 116-degree field of view and includes weather-proofing and a built-in battery, which should ensure...

The Canary Flex is a smart home security camera which leans to please you, but is it worth the cost?
Simple to set up ; Discrete yet distinctive design ; Smooth 30 frames per second video ; Tripod-style or magnetic mount ; 1 day recording of clips without subscription ; Alexa integration
No MicroSD slot for recording ; In wireless operation, slow to connect to live view ; Comparatively expensive cloud subscription ; Lacks built-in floodlight for color night view ; Lacks built-in siren
Every step of the unboxing, setup and operation gave the impression of quality and simplicity associated with a well-known fruit-based computer company except for one thing... Live view could be faster when used wirelessly. Our main complaint (which...

A convenient, wireless indoor/outdoor camera that offers useful non-subscription services
Good video quality, useful non-subscription services, weatherproof, wireless
Real time viewing can be choppy, must be taken down and recharged periodically
The Canary Flex is a great alternative to the if you don't want to pay for a subscription, but it is slightly hampered by its poor real time viewing performance.
