This $30 smart plug puts anything you plug into it under Alexa's or Google Assistant's control.
Leviton's Wi-Fi smart plug works perfectly with Alexa and Google Assistant, and you don't need a hub in order to use it. The slim-bodied design won't block adjacent outlets after you've plugged it in.
The plug doesn't work with Apple HomeKit, so you can't control it with Siri, and it won't track energy usage. It also doesn't include any USB charge ports.
This is a basic, no-fuss smart plug from an established manufacturer that gets the job done without costing too much.

Plug a lamp into this Leviton Decora smart plug, and you'll be able to tell Alexa to dim it up and down.
The Decora plug-in dimmer is easy to use, and it works well with Alexa to let you dim your lamps up and down using voice commands. The My Leviton app is well-designed, with plenty of controls for automating your lights or customizing things like fade...
The dimmer's bulky design blocks off any outlets below it, and you'll need to plug your lamp into the bottom of the device, which can be a little awkward. There also aren't any significant third-party integrations beyond Alexa.
This Alexa-compatible plug-in smart dimmer gets the job done, but alternatives from Belkin, Lifx, and Philips Hue are all more fully featured, and more cost effective, too.

Leviton's Wi-Fi dimmers and switches are a few integrations shy of greatness.
No extra smart home hardware required ; Simple Alexa/Google Assistant voice controls by room or individual light ; It's still a physical light switch ; No extra smart home hardware required ; Straightforward setup ; Simple Amazon Echo/Google Home voice...
Setup may require additional wiring and familiarity with electrical circuits (or an electrician) ; Aside from Amazon Echo and Google Home, no integration with other smart home platforms and devices ; Limited features in the My Leviton app ; Aside from...
With so few features and smart-home system integrations, Leviton's Wi-Fi dimmers and switches are tough to recommend. Apart from Leviton's manufacturing quality, compatibility with the Echo and Google Home, and support for three-way installations,...

If I didn't own two other (note: no brand names here due to Product Review Guidelines) remote lighting systems, I may have just thought this is how these things are. But, since I know what the others are like, I realize these are close to being...
Appearance is nice ; They do not interfere with other remote lighting systems
Signal strength is weak compared to other brands, even though base is only 4 to 5 feet away. I have two and they both work about 2/3rds of the time ; Would be better to have regular flip switch
