Scanner is great! I couldn't afford the one I wanted (nor did I really need it). Had I known the slight inconvenience of the plastic sheet, I might have chose a different model, as I don't need the ability to scan negatives. Nevertheless, this product...

Comes with a removeable white piece of plastic. It's not opaque, which I think it should be. Plus it is annoying putting the plastic sheet atop the object being scanned, without moving it. The reason for the separate white sheet is due to the cover...

Product claims to be compatible with mac, apple says there is no driver for the scanner, when you call microtek they rever you to a website that does not work and will not give tecnical service over the phone
