Epson WorkForce DS-6500
The Epson WorkForce DS-6500 claims a scan speed of 25 pages per minute and 50 images per minute.
Both letter-size flatbed and automatic document feeder. Duplex (two-sided) scanning.
When scanning to searchable PDF format, the added step of recognizing text adds significantly to the total time.

Requires an Epson Printer to make direct copies
Beware! The copy to printer function in Document Capture Pro only works with an Epson Printer. If you do not have an Epson printer you will not be able to print copies of a document using Document Capture Pro without saving it to your computer first....

Great scanner
I bought this for one of our employees. He came to me today and said "I love this scanner!" He makes duplex images from time to time and it handles them in one pass. Based on what I have seen it is a great scanner.
