can put paintings on the scanner and I get accurate color in one step

The photo version has a separate heavy cover. Most people will probably discard the normal plastic cover and just use the photo cover ; however, I mostly scan paintings so I like the light weight cover better and store the larger photo cover

This scanner is wonderful. The image quality is excellent. I had friends wondering if I should spend so much on a scanner, then when they saw the images of plants I made, they said "How does it make that look so much better than life?"!

Be careful, the gl can scratch easily. I buy clear acetate to put on top of the gl when scanning non-paper items such as plants or ceramics.

I found the scanner very easy to install, easy to use and VERY high tech. I highly recommend this scanner for all graphics professionals and institues with photo archiving needs
