If your budget is ultra-tight, you don't have many options open to you. The Hotpoint RFAA52P is perhaps as good as any. As we've said, it does the job, but not with finesse. Its two virtues are its low purchase price and low running costs.

I bought this model in August 2012 having read the Which report on the Hotpoint RFA52. It has just failed (October 2015) and will take 6 days for Hotpoint to repair it. Rather disappointing as I would have expected it to last longer than 3 years.
