ViewSonic VNB101 netbook

ViewSonic's VNB101 is a 1.1kg netbook that ultimately fails to satisfy

Dual-booting (Windows XP and Linpus Lite), touchpad with gesture support, relatively nice design

Audible cooling fan, only two USB 2.0 ports, awkwardly positioned SD card slot, comparatively short battery life

If you're looking for a thin and light netbook, ViewSonic's 1.1kg VNB101 does have some merit, but it also has a few drawbacks. You only get two USB 2.0 ports, its SD card slot is located in an awkward position, and its battery life was short of two...

ViewSonic VNB101 review

The monitor manufacturer steps up its game and enters the netbook race

Good build quality ; Bluetooth

Power ; Battery life ; Screen

This netbook fails to match the current competition on all the major points and unfortunately we cannot recommend it

ViewSonic VNB101

Portable, like any netbook. A tiny bit lighter than the norm due to the smaller battery.

Poor battery life. Uses Sentelic touchpad.

The netbook market is so tight, you need some sort of competitive advantage to stand above the crowd. ViewSonic brings a standard netbook with two negatives instead — poor battery life and a bad touchpad.

ViewSonic VNB101 review

It runs Windows XP, but the ViewSonic VNB101 also has a version of Linux installed that you can boot into quickly if you don't need to use anything more than web-based applications.

Viewsonic VNB101

The Viewsonic VNB101 is yet another 10.1-inch netbook with so-so specs. So, it that packs in an Intel Atom N280 processor, 1024MB of RAM and 160GB hard drive but manages to be lighter than most at just 1.1kg. It runs Windows XP but Viewsonic has been...

The Viewsonic VNB101 has a great screen and we like the use of Linux as well as Windows but the keyboard is a drag and overall performance is less than impressive. Overall, there are simply better value netbooks out there. Viewsonic VNB101 is tagged...

Viewsonic VNB101 review

An average netbook with a clever pared down OS, the Viewsonic VNB101 is let down by being a tad too basic

Linpus OS, great screen

Poor battery life, same old specs
