The Toshiba Satellite S55t-A5277 offers category leading performance and a healthy feature set, but the ho-hum design and short battery life keep it from ranking higher.

Great performance from fourth-gen Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia graphics. Touch screen. DVD drive reads and burns to disc. A sizeable 1TB hard drive offers lots of storage capacity.

Display is only 720p. Battery life is a little short.

Toshiba Satellite S55t-A5277 fits high-end CPU, gaming graphics into slim body

 

This could be the perfect midsize gaming laptop, if not for the low-res screen.

With a new Intel Core i7 CPU, an Nvidia GPU, a 1TB hard drive, and a touch screen, the ; is a genre-buster laptop.

Hitting its $999 price clearly required some compromises, and the low-resolution 15-inch screen takes the fun out of gaming and media watching.

The Toshiba Satellite S55t-A5277 comes close to being a great mainstream slim gaming laptop, but it's undone by an unimpressive display.

Poorly constructed. Toshiiba has one of the worst warranty departments I have seen. Laptop falls apart and can cause the screen to break. Toshiba tries to get you to mail t to the laptop at your own expense. Then they charge you additional for...

performed ok when it worked

Breaks way before it should and warranty is in name only

Great computer but takes an eternity to boot up UGH!!

 

The computer it self is awesome super fast, touchscreen, runs windows 8. BUT since the first day I had it it took 5 minutes to boot up. My 8 year old computer that it was replacing takes less time then that!!! Also it is 5 or 6lbs but that is my fault...

Very fast, lots of cool new features, touch screen, 3 usb ports, cd/dvd drive

OH MY GOD did I just die waiting for this computer to start-up?

Not as good as the T-Sat., s75-A7222 at Costco for 999

 

There is a much better laptop offer that no one is reporting nor is there any reviews on. Toshiba offers a Satellite s75-A7222 for $999 at cost-co that has 16GB RAM and 1TB HDD. I don't understand why no one is raving about it. on Aug 10, 2013
