happy with this pc

 

with some simple and cheap upgrades this laptop is about as good as you can get for under $1000 on the current market.

the unchangeable features such as the display, keyboard and graphics card give this laptop a lot of bang for the buck

really benefits from a hard drive upgrade. have not done this yet however it seems to be the only thing keeping this pc from top notch performance

Great price for 1080p laptop

 

Great price for a 17" 1080p laptop. I updated from a Dell Studio 15.6" laptop and this Sony is thinner and barely any wider (about an inch). Sure, the Radeon 7550 isn't a great gaming performer, but at least it doesn't pull from the 6 gigs of system...

1080p screen for relatively cheap ; Less bulky than expected

DVD drive seems really loud when it spins up, but I rarely use it anyway

works great and fast, just need up grade the memory to 8GB and change dvd-+ to bluray plus WIDI Dongle other then that everything else are so great

more memory capacity and bluray +- and WIDI dongle

Buyers Beware - False Advertising

 

I will be returning this laptop and am unsure if I will ever purchase another item through newegg again.

Exactly like the first review, I ordered this laptop expecting to receive the laptop with the GeForce GT 640M LE graphics card. Instead, the laptop arrived with a lower quality AMD Radeon 7650M graphics card. I had e-mailed Newegg about this order...

False Advertising! Ship the laptop that you advertised

Does Not ship with Nvidia 640m le

 

This laptop ships with Windows 8, so if you haven't used this operating system you can expect to spend time learning how to use it.

New i5 processor ; 17.3 inch HD display ; 1GB dedicated graphics ; Backlit keyboard

Newegg product listing shows 1gb Nvidia 640m le as the graphics chip in this laptop, I recieved a 1gb AMD 7650m in my laptop. Not sure if it is a con, but I'm disapointed that I did not recieve what I ordered
