Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13" notebook

An inexpensive Lenovo notebook with good speed and plenty of cool features

Excellent keyboard, dual pointing devices, can charge USB devices, good battery life

No ExpressCard slot, combined microphone and headphone port, hinges a little soft, some unnecessary preinstalled software

Lenovo's ThinkPad Edge 13" is a great little laptop for anyone who wants good performance and battery life in a mobile form factor but doesn't want to spend over $1000. There aren't really many things to dislike about this model, and there are plenty...

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge

If you're a fan of Lenovo's ThinkPad line, you're willing to put up with a boring industrial design because the machines are so rugged and usable. The new ThinkPad Edge marks the first significant change to the look and feel of the line in years, but...

Lots of connectivity options ; Great battery life

Performance suffers from low-voltage processor ; No keyboard light or backlight

The ThinkPad Edge is a welcome refresh of Lenovo's workhorse line that improves look and feel without sacrificing the features that make ThinkPads so well-loved.

Review: Lenovo ThinkPad Edge

After experimenting with humongous all-in-one notebooks, Lenovo returns to its roots with an inexpensive, go-anywhere, do-anything, multitasking machine.

ThinkPad construction quality shrunken down and cheapened up for the masses. Very good performance and solid build quality for the price. Best keyboard in its class. Consumerized design works

Iffy touchpad. Second-tier brands offer similar specs for even less. Integrated graphics

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge (13-inch) review: Lenovo ThinkPad Edge (13-inch)

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge (13-inch)

Excellent keyboard and touch pad; compact body; bright display.

The chassis could easily have held an optical drive, but doesn't; better configurations drive up the price significantly.

With a relatively affordable starting price and a new design, the ThinkPad Edge loosens up the ThinkPad look--but losing an optical drive keeps it a yard short of being a top-choice compact business laptop.

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13

With the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13, the line lives up to its namesake, but there are better looking SMB laptops out there, with longer battery life.

Best Island-style keyboard yet. Dual pointing devices. Superb navigating experience. Lightweight. Affordable. Embedded 3G option.

New shiny lid is a smudge magnet. Not the speediest CULV laptop.

Anti-Glare. Lenovo upgrades its ThinkPad Edge models by adding an

Good Workmanship; Matt Surfaces; Anti-Glare Display; HDMI, eSATA; Sufficient Program Performance; Fast and Big Hard Disk; TrackPoint and TouchPad; Good Keyboard; Good Run Times

Few Extras included in Delivery; No Docking Station Interface; Weak Contrast; Low Brightness when running on Battery; High Temperature Emissions under Load; High Idle Power Consumption
