For me I left it hooked up to my tv on and running 24/7 and it never hickup or got hot or anything. All it had was a 14 dollar cooler pad from w@lmart (why is that an inappropriate word?) under it and i never had any problems out of it. You might want...

A wonderful laptop. Bought it late 2012 still going strong with everything i can throw at it hooked up to my 42 inch tv via hdmi at 1080p turn shadows off on the games where its a little to slow and boom your back to playing. Who uses shadows anyway...

If this is how the computers are being built by Lenovo, then I will highly discourage people/friends from purchasing them. A year of use and having it turn into an awkward useless paperweight is not my idea of a good product.
