Don't Buy, Period

It's cheap and has the decent specs you'd expect

MSI Customer Support is second to none is horribleness. Try getting in contact with anyone, I dare you. Try email (which goes unanswered), calling, (which redirects you to one of three numbers), or even getting someone on the line once you have the...

Great for what it is

Contrary to what others have said around the net... you definitely could not run something like Half Life 2 or WOW on this. At least not stock. I can barely get mine to run Halo 1 and that's with the settings turned way down at 1024X768 in gaming mode....

Great for travel... will play movies various video types pretty well ; Hard Drive is big for a laptop let alone a netbook ; Very Pretty... Sleek... Kinda makes my mouth water when I look at it on my desk ; Will play old school games and emulators great...

Skips on video quite a bit... especially HD (I ordered that Broadcom HD Decoder to try to solve that problem) ; The processor just isn't strong enough... even though it is an AMD. It seems to constantly run in the red zone 70-100% if you are doing...

Know what you're talking about, please...

This is my 5th Netbook. Every 6-12 months, i can't seem to keep myself from upgrading to the latest and greatest. All my past netbooks have been EEEs, and i was a little worried about changing brands, but the new EEEs don't provide easy access to the...

Decently fast for a Netbook. Does what i wanted to do with it: web surfing, RDC, basic document editing, basic sysadmin stuff. Also has a much nicer, higher resolution screen than the old 7, 9 and 10" netbooks i've used in the past

Some people think it should be i7 fast

wireless/bluetooth/update problems

once the broadcom crystal hd is installed and i'm done updating it maybe i'll like it more

specs for the money can't be matched ; open pcie slot can be used for a ssd or broadcom crystal hd card

wireless default is off - function F8 should turn it on but doesn't, trouble shoot will fix it sometimes, if not i need to restart ; MSI update will cause the computer to crash on restart, then the power supply must be unplugged and battery removed to...

Great little netbook

I also ordered a 4gb USB stick with this and immediately used the USB Download Tool to make and install a clean OEM copy of Windows - this was probably faster and cleaner than uninstalling all the junk this ships with. Once that was done, I googled for...

Big, bright screen with great color; nearly a full-sized keyboard; runs cool and quiet; does everything I've asked of it so far without any real slowdowns

Keyboard flexes a bit from left to right, the keys aren't perfectly level, but its not enough to screw up my typing; Touchpad could be wider, the buttons are hard to press, and has some sensitivity issues - also needs updated drivers to support...

My thoughts on a netbook i really wanted to love

As above, I've side-by-sided this with several laptops. It's the one that I wanted to like the most, but the Atom is it's downfall. The mini 110 with Crystal HD card BLEW this away with youtube HD video. 3D games were great if unstressed, but if you...

This is a nice netbook. The problem is that I thought the ION architecture would propel it to near-mini-notebook level. It does not. It is a netbook. The screen is great, the size and quality is good. The keyboard was ok by me. The 3D performance was...

The underpinnings of this are an Atom processor. Yes you can overclock it to 1.9GHz. But you will get 10-15% more performance. 10-15% more of cruddy is cruddy. Even with the latest beta drivers HD flash was choppy. Yes it can run WoW, but it really...

Look for the model without missing Features

The speakers are underneath the touchpad which is strange because the acoustics of devices such as this are usually geard so that the sound bounces off of the screen and over to the user, but this does also enable you to have unmuffled sound when the...

Not too slow for a 1.6 Ghz proccessor, Vibrant Screen, and comes with what appears to be built in overclock features as you can set it to different "gaming, video, presentation, etc" modes

First of all, this is labeled as a netbook on newegg's listing. I bought this so that I could wander around with a wimax or 3g connection and surf on the go. In big letters on the box it says "Noteboook" and there is not only a lack of Wimax and 3g on...

superb !

Let me clarify a few things 1.)This does have a scroll on the pad. you have to get the Synaptics drivers 2.) the wireless drivers work fine FN+ F8 then set it up automatically connect . 3.) the u210 came with vista . L2100 comes with windows7 . They...

I love this thing , the display is really nice and looks very clean ; 12in widescreen,, big keyboard ; HDMI ; 2gig ram can be upgraded to 4gig ; 250gig sata drive ; wireless N ; 64bit cpu so you can throw a 4gig stick of ram in then install windows 7...

it chokes with 1080p video,, But like many others have said ; that hd decoder for $25.00. pop it in and you are all set

Great if you dont need wireless

I am extremely disappointed with the MSI brand. The wireless issues seems to be a windows 7 issue. I tried using the new drivers of the MSI website, and i tried using the drivers from windows update with no avail. Now I have decided after two RMAs that...

Big screen for a net-book

The wireless has a lot of issues, the first one i received the wireless was very intermittent running on battery power. The second one i received had the same wireless issues, then after two hours of usage it quit working all together. So after having...

something is amiss

Joy at first. Disappointment now. Docking the eggs because it didn't even work flawlessly for 30 days. I wish the keys were backlit. Never considered it before.

Other reviewers covered what can be expected if it continues to work beyond the first few reboots

Day two turned it on to use it and it will not connect to my new wireless router. Last night it saw four wireless broadcasts until I disabled my SSID broadcast ; That friggin Norton package keeps prompting to activate. Apparently it was installed by...
