HP Mini 5103 (XP882PA) netbook

The 10.1in HP Mini 5103 (XP882PA) netbook doesn't improve much on the brilliant little HP Mini 5102. From its anodised aluminium exterior panels to it...

Metal casing, 1366x768 screen resolution, 7200rpm hard drive, 2GB DDR3 SDRAM, good performance, great battery life

Lot of preinstalled software, initial setup takes around 30min, touchpad can sometimes feel too sticky, rubber stops don't keep netbook from sliding on a desk

Despite not being very different to the HP Mini 5102, the HP Mini 5103 is still one of the best netbooks money can buy... if you don't mind forking over so much cash for a netbook, that is. It's solidly constructed, has 2GB of RAM and a fast 7200rpm...

HP Mini 5103 with dual-core Atom N550 performance review

We realize keeping up with HP's model numbers can be as hard as keeping tabs on say, Lindsay Lohan's run-ins with the law, but the 5103 is notable in one

Faster dual-core Atom N550 processor ; Same great, solid chassis as the Mini 5102 ; Broadcom chip adds 1080p playback

Not as fast as AMD and NVIDIA Ion netbooks ; Shorter battery life than the 5102 ; More expensive than the competition

HP Mini 5103

The HP Mini 5103 is a corporate-oriented netbook that does just about everything right: It has a plethora of business and security features, an excellent keyboard and touchpad, and a touchscreen. However, performance is mundane, and a larger display...

Great battery life ; Good performance and ergonomics

Smallish display ; Pricey

Great security features and excellent video performance highlight this corporate netbook--but the display's too small.

HP Mini 5103

The HP Mini 5103 is the most tricked out netbook money can buy, but it doesn't come cheap.

Dual-core Atom. Sweet 1,366 by 768 resolution. Speedy hard drive. Touch screen is finger friendly. Sleek aesthetic. Big battery. 2GB of RAM.

Expensive once you pile on all these features. No HDMI port with HD decoder card.

Business Class. HP refreshes the Mini 5103 and installs the lates

Solid case and design; Generous island style keyboard; Touchscreen with multi-touch; Good application performance; Fast hard disk (HDD); Integrated UMTS module; Variety of configurations and models; Convincing battery life

HP Mini 5103

HP's Mini 5103 is a gorgeous, luxury item that makes a netbook desirable again. You'll still need to ask yourself if the small size is worth the cost; however, for portability, battery life and features, the 5103 is on our wanted list.

Excellent keyboard ; High-resolution screen ; Gigabit Ethernet ; 802.11n 5GHz support

Screen isn't as sharp as it could be

Most users will be better served with less-expensive, consumer-oriented netbooks; however, the security and other corporate features make the HP Mini 5103 a no-brainer for IT departments - at least until they see the bill. Expand the screen to 11 or...
