Memory upgrade

 

I added 3 sticks to a 5 year old HP desktop to go from 6GB to 12GB. It powered right up with the additional memory. Its indistinguishable in performance from what was already there

Excellent customer service

 

I was going to simply return them, glad the customer service had responded to a commend left months ago by someone else. It shows they really do want to make their products work for us.

The customer service technician was excellent. These were purchased in order to breath new life into some 10 year old machines. Memory appeared DOA. I noticed customer service number on NewEgg and was going to try to get replacements. Turns out, I...

Configuration required a bios upgrade. May want to keep that in mind if you are upgrading an ancient machine
