Great for Graphics Software

 

Overall, very pleased with the package. Vista was not the headache that i thought it was going to be.

I was very pleased at this brand new looking 'refurbished' machine- ran great out of the box and has more than enough to run Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro smoothly. Great buy, very fast delivery time

2GB RAM is the max upgradable, but this should be more than enough for awhile

Great for hte price

 

Great for the price- just hope you didn't get one like mine! :)

The laptop has a lot of everything- space, speed, battery life, and great multi-media capabilities. Just incredible for the price

The wireless didn't work correctly out of the box, as mentioned in another review. Not totally unexpected but I was quite upset

Very Pleased

 

I would recommend this to family and friends..as always 2gb of ram a must for vista!...

I was very nervous purchasing a Re-Certified Lap-top. The price on this one was too good to pass up! Very nice systems runs smooth, everything you would expect and more...Nice quality system

Graphics aren't the best but hey..Some cosmetic blemishes in certain areas but nothing too bad

Good Support Experience

 

This is my first Intel-Duo and my first Vista computer. VERY fast and Vista is not as confusing as I expected. Probably not for hard-core gamers, but plays some beautiful divx HD and other videos. Be sure to run Windows update twice to get driver updates.

Like new in all respects except internal wireless would not function. Price was about $250 less than comparable Acer at local discount big box. Quiet, fast, and not super hot. Called Gateway about wireless problem and they are paying shipping both ways...

Would have been nice if the wireless worked out of the box ; Manuals have several XP references which could confuse the non-technical user. Speakers are just a bit weak on low freq., but plenty of volume

Amazing Value For Money

 

Price went up a little after I bought it, but I would have bought at even at the current price it is that good.

Amazing Specifications for the price, C2D 1.73Ghz, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, DVD-Burner, Glossy Screen, 8 Cell Battery, Vista Home Premium. Got it looking and feeling brand new

Hmm... Questionable...

 

Shipping was quick. Ordered it on Monday and received it on Friday.

Good Price, Lots of Features and it's FAST

The only con that I have with it is that the display seems to have a loose connection? Sometimes it just turns off for 3-5 seconds... I will probably be returning this for a replacement

Great computer

 

for the price this is a givaway for the features. I am not a gamer so I can't attest to how well it does or doesn't do. For my graphic design and photo work I am very pleased. I didn't think I woul;d like Vista but it has proven to be faster than xp...

I bought this as a replacement for my 2.6 pentium that was 4 years old. The screen on this is excellent and after doing vista tweaks the system is very fast with photoshop CS3 as well as lightroom. This was my main reason for upgrading. Battery life...

Fast and accurate with a large screen for a laptop

One time it wouldn't turn off. I removed and reinserted the battery. Problem solved

Everything you need for home (and on the way) notebook

 

Excellent performance for any medium-high level user.Excellent balanced architecture.

Heat (connected), Adapter connector in the back of the notebook is not well designed (weak)
