this thing is one of the best netbooks you could find. Sure it's not the fastest laptop but it does everything that it's supposed to do, even 720p blu-ray movies and did i mention it's ultra-lightweight

Although I loaded the latest flash(10.1) and intel driver updates, hulu @ 720p still skips a couple of frames, CPU is only 55% so I guess the chipset drivers are not yet optimized for flash 10.1 ; Very minimal options in the BIOS, no OC, hardware...

Good Buy

 

Norton and MS Office were preinstalled, but otherwise there wasn't too much to clean off the system. With the latest touchpad drivers from the Gateway site (released November 3rd) you can enable two-finger scrolling. The HDMI port works (with audio)....

Lightweight, runs cool and quiet, faster than I expected, minimal bloatware

Touchpad buttons are very small, keyboard is workable but not great

I buy 2-3 typically cheap laptops per year. This is the best yet. Same size and weight as my $1700 ThinkPad but I like the Gateway better (except for the keyboard). Really liked the Samsung 10" netbook, but definitely prefer the 11.6" screen on the...

Attractive but understated. Perfect size for everyday use and travel. Size and weight of a netbook but much superior. 3 lbs 2 ozs without cord, 3'13" with. Very fast with Win 7

Keys are flat and wide. I would prefer contoured and narrow

Fantastic netbook!

 

If you are a serious PC user and want good performance, spend the extra and get this netbook over the cheaper 10.1"/Atom-based netbooks out there. If your budget allows for it, you will be glad you spent the extra money for the bigger screen and faster...

Nothing really. I wish the tab key was bigger and the Caps Lock key a little smaller. I hit the Caps Lock key accidentally from time to time, but I will get better with more use/practice. Not a big deal at all ; Overall this is an awesome package....
