4GB memory makes it fast enough to run Vista comfortably.

Spec was good for the money and cheaper than available on Dell site outlet. Pleased with purchase, no evidence of refurb other than some drivers not loaded.

Some drivers weren't loaded that should have been, but easily resolved by using Dell website diagnostics and down loading them, or simply calling their helpline if you're non techy.

Well built, substantial chassis has very little flex particularly around the palm and screen areas. Good feature set and a decent array of sockets on this particular model at least - 4 USB, HDMI and firewire. Good keyboard. Blu-ray ROM drive a nice bonus.

Screen viewing angles not the best, so contrast drops off quickly outside the sweetspot. Rubberised, coloured top seems to attract the dirt.

Good screen, good screen hinge, nice case.

Battery life just average. Tiouch pad is terrible, jumps all over the place, sticks etc. Upgraded drivers etc. made it a little better but it is the worse pad i've had, which is a shame because the rest of the laptop it top rate!
