Je ne regrette rien

Great when switch to Win7 ; Great to use with ASUS Gesture command, like the mac ; good for everything basic ; great of on the go programming or movie watching

Darn touchpad is really darn sensitive ; battery gets weak after 9 months of sporadicc on/off charge use

Good machine, bad touchpad

 

So far it is a good laptop in all aspects except the touchpad. I would recommend to anyone who plans to primarily use a mouse. If not, purchase something else.

We bought three for work on a deal. For the price, seems to be a good bargain and speed is good

The mouse pad is a bad design. As others mentioned, it is very sensitive. But the worst part of it is that the touch area and the buttons are all one piece of plastic and when you try to click either button, it tilts the whole touchpad invariably...

A good deal on a budget laptop

 

This laptop is budget model but runs windows well and no issues with hardware. Makes a great *nix book and has enough power for most software I use. Definitely not a gamer and why the puck would you buy this for games?

Do yourself a favor and replace the slow HDD with a SSD. Install Windows7 and you've got a decent machine. The RAM is easy to upgrade and I plan to get another 4gigs. Display is bright. Fan is quiet when the cores are at low power. Battery life is OK...

Lets start with the keyboard. Not the easiest to get used to especially if you're from the "chicklet" crowd. After a few days of typing it gets better but the right side feels squishy and I'm not sure about the robustness over the long term. Feels...

Great mid-range laptop

 

Overall good laptop for the price, came with extra warranty and ASUS quality here like usual

Has numeric pad, screen is great, durable, has DVD drive, mouse pad is big and convenient, battery life is good, has HDMI, not as heavy as others in category, somewhat slim

Numeric pad is somewhat small, I had Toshiba before this and I can feel the difference. Only has 2 USB ports, SD card is somewhat hidden underneath

Great CPU/Bad Hard Drive

 

I see now that I'm not the only one with this issue. No way I could of foreseen this and I knew what I was getting into with a Refurb. Hopefully ASUS will make this relatively painless.

Terrific hardware package at great price

Hard dive dies after 4 weeks of use and I'm now out of the RMA window

Impulse buy...

 

I've wanted to replace my desktop i3 machine for a while. Immediately ditched Winblows for xUbuntu 13 encrypted root. Everything works. Was a refurb on sale. Definitely worth it. It's not a powerhouse, but it's not meant to be. Thanks to not wasting...

Says waht it does and does waht it says. Got it on sale for less than I paid for a much less powerful netbook only a few weeks ago. 500GB drive. HDMI. It's significantly faster than my higher clocked desktop i3, haven't looked into why that is yet....

Max RAM is 8GB. Low Rez monitor

Does not boot up second time. It makes very high pitch noise and can't turn it off until disconnect the battery. In process of returning for a replacement
