The ASUS Eee PC 1004DN is closer to notebook than the typical ASUS Eee PC netbook
Optical drive, ExpressCard/34 slot, fingerprint reader, 1.4kg, battery life
Screen has a thick bezel, uses a PATA hard drive instead of SATA
The ASUS Eee PC 1004DN has plenty of style, good ease of use, an expansion slot and a DVD burner, so it is suitable for business users as well as home users. It is especially useful for people who are constantly working on the road and need a tool for...

Asus' Eee PC 1004DN seems to be the final word in netbook computing, but then stumbles at the last moment due to the stratospheric price.
Optical drive ; Slightly faster than the standard netbook ; ExpressCard slot ; Attractive design
For the price you could have a full featured laptop
It's almost the ultimate netbook — until you see the price, a whopping AU$1399, and start seriously thinking about buying a normal-sized laptop instead, which may not have as good a battery life, but is significantly greater powered and has more...

Asus' new Eee PC 1004dn steps up in style and features, boasting a DVD-writer, expresscard slot and scrabble-tile keyboard
Even though the separated keys are smaller than those on the standard Sony VAIO series and Apple's Macbooks, we were typing speedily in no time, and the comfort level was good too. Keys have a good amount of responsiveness, although there's a bit of...

Price is rediculously exorbitant, you could buy a very very good regular laptop for that amount of money! Considering the money they are asking, should come with Windows 7, NOT XP and should have at least 2GB of RAM I reckon... Seems just becuase Asus...
Finally a netbook with a CD drive
Price = terrible, needs more RAM, needs Windows 7

If you need a second lappie that can simply be thrown in bag or the glove box of your car and with a roaming internet you can throw the map away, read the paper on the train or even god forbid do some work in the local cafe.
Small, quite fast. has everything you need
Not sure if I should get more ram
Avis d'utilisateur (cnet.com.au)
It is everything I was looking for in a laptop/netbook. PERFECT.
Everything it needs to be
A little bit too overpriced
Avis d'utilisateur (cnet.com.au)
I love ASUS Eee's. They feel good to use, the graphics are respectable for a netbook, the sound is good and as long as you don't want to do BIG things, they're excellent for the purpose they're designed for.
Looks good; has an optical drive
that whole midget misplaced RH shift key; weight
