The Asus A53E-XA2 budget laptop sports an Intel Core i5 processor, strong battery life, and a pretty cool design.

Intel Core i5 CPU provides strong performance. Solid battery life. Scratch-resistant finish.

Light on features. Awkwardly placed power connector.

See cons. It is tough to recommend it knowing that it will die at some point.

I tried really hard to take good care of this laptop. I didn't drop it, bang it really hard, or just generally abuse it. I was severely disappointed when the power jack on the motherboard starting losing connectivity. For a good five months, I had to...
