good stuff

despite the fact acer bloats this thing to the max it runs so good its smooth crisp dispaly is a real pleaser to the eyes.sound is fair.wirless seems to hunt for a signal no matter were its coming from and it holds on to it tight.i was very pleased...

not a wide screen.chipset.vid chip.ddr2 1gig.100gig hd.dvdrw.battery life

hd speed minor but wish it was 7200 rpm the partions on the hard drive.this unit was for a cuztomer so i left the hard drive alone.had it been mine i would have cleaned the hard drive up and made one partion using ntfs file system

Good Purchase

best bang fo your buck hands down!

This is in addition to my last review ; After speaking to Acer support for a dvd related problem which they are shipping a new one at nc ; I found out they format fat 32 only to produce a ghost for the recovery software so reformatting ntfs is no problem

Good Laptop

Light, Long Battery life, great price

My only problem is that it comes with 2 fat32 partitions. now i have to blast the laptop and reload the os. so i will have one drive with a NTFS file system

Just got my new laptop two days ago, so far no problems. I installed 1 Gb extra and works fine. Good deal for that price. Fast delivery and smooth transaction, thanks Newegg

The keyboard is not as conmfortable as my old Thinkpad

Nice Laptop

Overall this laptop is great, plus its loaded with alot more features than other laptops in the same price range. This Acer laptop runs great and the screen has no dead pixels.

Above average battery life ; Plenty of USB 2 ports and even has a firewire port ; Keypad/Touchpad easy to use ; Excellent wireless ; Digital video out and Gigabyte Lan are also nice features

Speaker volume is too low even when set to max ; CD/DVD burner is slow when burning and skips when you pause/play a dvd movie
