Out of the box, this is a computer for even the dimmest of bulbs. I like Windows 8 although once I installed Chrome, I couldn't tell a difference. The Acer desktop tile delivers the much missed POWER button and Acer backup is fast and easy.

I was happy with this machine when I bought it, but after upgrading the RAM to 16 GB (that's right, it WILL support 16GB of RAM) and swapping the HDD for a SSD, this machine is a screamer! Had some driver issues when I loaded Windows 7 to the new SSD...

laptop is great for everyday use. only complaint is the touchpad which is very sensitive. I am about ready to dump windows 8 and go back to 7 just to get some programs to run right.

This Acer Aspire is a pretty solid performing laptop. Did not care too much for the Windows OS that it came with but it even ran that pretty well. It is quick enough for multiple tasks. I put another 4gb to max out the RAM and it handles everything...

This is the second Acer Aspire I have bought over the last year. Used as a business tool it gets a decent, daily workout without any failers or hickups. With a little weekly maintenance it runs as fast as it did the first day. Great product

The machine itself is dandy. I did buy extra memory I have yet to install, but getting used to Windows 8 is tough. I don't really like it at all.

Its not as good as a Intel Quad but is it a quad. Got 8 gig 1600 with intel ssd. not to bad. it is ok for someone needing a little more power than a dual core
