Great lens

Good picture quality, image stabilization works fine. 2.8 overal aperture is good. I like this lens despite its cons.

- Too heavy. With the camera frame the overal weight is just too much - focusing is very loud. This is a no go for video recording. External mic is a must with this lens.

Sigma lenses are great build quality and easy to use.

Small lens to carry. Great to use sharp pictures.

Focus ring moves when in use .

Cracking good value, very sharp, sturdy and works a charm on my D7200. If you want a great macro/portrait lense but not the hefty price tag linked to Nikon/Canon etc., then the Sigma is the best choice.

It's heavy and handheld takes practise. Yes, you can handhold for macro.

Great image quality, good range of zoom, a perfect all purpose holiday and every day lens.

Could be a little lighter
