This. Lens is really out there in terms of macro.

You need a tripod or caffaine free steady grip. And a ring flash or similar to light those vital details.

Very sturdy. Mounting ring allows good balance. Smooth zooming. Tip: practice with lens ring sets or bellows before buying to experiment and learn about lighting and focus depth problems and so get the best out of this lens when you buy it.

A bit heavy, so your stand needs to be very strong to avoid flexing and vibration. A bit expensive for many users.

It enables the subject to be photographed anywhere within the 1x to 5x macro range.

For a new user, it can take a long time to find exactly what you wish to photograph.

Extreme magnification in a carry around package. Very good image quality, even stopped down to achieve d-o-f. Relatively not too heavy to carry with you. There's nothing else out there to compare it to!

You must have used at least a 1:1 macro lens before to try to use this lens. It's not it's fault, but the photographer's! The difficulties are many, and getting a good result is not easy, but you will be rewarded when you get a good result.
