Known for its elegantly designed monitors, LG continues the trend with its Flatron W2452T ($499.95 list), an attractive, no-frills 24-inch desktop display. Unfortunately, looks alone can't make up for this monitor's shaky performance and lack of features.

Stylish cabinet. Good text readability

Poor grayscale performance. Flimsy stand. Lacks A/V ports

The LG Flatron W2452T is an attractive 24-inch LCD monitor that does a good job of displaying small fonts, but there are better-performing models out there with more features for around the same price.

We were excited when LG's W2452T arrived in the Lab—we had high hopes this monitor would break the streak of middle-of-the-road 24-inch displays we've tested lately. And it nearly did. Although the 1920x1200-res screen was able to hit the grayscale...

Great grayscales and average--not great--coloration

Banding affects image quality and preset options can completely  destroy the picture. So that's nice

The W2452T creates a good basic image, but tweaking the monitor to achieve better coloration leaves a little—or in some cases, a lot—to be desired.

Der LG W2452V ist ein 24-Zoll-Monitor im 16:10-Format mit ordentlicher Bildqualität. Er präsentiert sich in einem eleganten schwarzglänzenden Designgehäuse.

Leichtes und dank Klavierlackoptik elegantes Display. Der Schirm liefert in der Werkseinstellung ein zu helles überzeichnetes Bild. Erst eine Nachjustierung bringt eine ordentliche Darstellung. Der Monitor hat einen hohen Stromverbrauch.
