I bought this for blending food for an adult who has trouble chewing. It's a great item and can be used for blending food as well as smoothies.

Very pleased with this machine, we use it daily for our 5 a day fruit smoothie and for our weekly home made vegetable soup. The machine is easy to clean and very sturdy.
