DVR Substitute

As always, newegg had quick shipping and arrived earlier than expected. I purchased this computer for two reasons: 1. My old computer was just that, old and outdated. 2. Wanted DVR capabilities with my busy schedule This computer did both. It looks...

Compact ; Nice remote for ease of use ; Mouse and Keyboard work at at least 8' (where my chair is from my TV) ; Ease of use with the TV tuner card, recording, and whatnot ; Quick boot time ; Simple "standby" mode with the use of the remote so i'm not...

Using my TV as my monitor (with use of HDMI), I haven't figured out a way to route my XBox through the computer to take advantage of my surround sound. So now I play my xbox on my TV speakers

Very Few Complaints

None of the cons are remotely deal breakers for me. Great machine all around and a big step up from my 2G RAM/Core 2 Duo laptop.

Boots up in 45 seconds. Fast fast fast. Easy multitasking. Haven't tried any cutting-edge games yet but my slightly older titles run perfectly. Windows 7's a big step up from Vista. Blu-Ray player and TV tuner are great touches whether or not you're...

Wireless card seems to pick up a signal weaker than my laptop did sitting in the exact same spot. You'll want to buy a better keyboard -- on the one included, your first keystroke never registers. (Typed an incorrect password at the Windows login...

Great HTPC

Hmmm....Pay $100 plus for HD tv through satelite or cable. or save it and in 8 months this pc pays for itself just using hulu....not to mention all the other advatages of having an htpc...like laying on ur couch writing New egg reviews

Hulu - I can tell no difference between the playback compared to my Dish HD service (which it has replaced). I don't think you'll find a better deal with a greal graphics card and blu-ray dvd burner 6 GB DDR3

I suggest shelling out $50 for a IOgear wireless keyboard with trackball. The keyboard and mouse that comes with it work fine, but the trackball is really nice when in the recliner on laying on the couch
