It does everything as advertised... so far

 

I have burned out three DVD players in the last two years. I like to watch Pride and UFC in slow motion. Not only does it out perform my previous DVD players in picture quality, it seems to be holding up very nicely to the abuse. The rest of the family...

Performs as advertised. Great value, considering the price

The packaging looked as if though it were drsgged through hell on the way to my house

Freezes up.

 

My advice is to buy this player in a store with a good return policy where you can return it.

This unit has a good picture. Looks good on my HDTV

The player freezes up about once an hour. I have to unplug it to reboot it. I have owned it more than 2 months and cannot return it

Excellent value!

 

Buying the 2 included cables individually at CC or BB will cost you around the same amount as this whole package cost me here on Newegg. Again, its a superb value for the money.

Package includes an HDMI cable as well as an HDMI->DVI cable. Upconversion switches between 420p, 720p, and 1080i

None so far besides a subpar manual. People are mentioning the fact that there is an HDMI button on the remote that you must use to swap between resolution modes, but I don't really find that to be a big deal thus far

So far, I could not find any. Perhaps the manual could have been written a little better. Especially it should mention that you use the HDMI cable to connect the player to the HDTV would require the pressing of the HDMI button on the remote. I can see...
