Worked well bought it back in '07, gave it away to some one after a few years and it is still running strong, enough said.

Works well. Handles most Xvid/Divx you throw at it. Haven't checked out progressive scan component connection yet. Love the feature where you can skip to a specified time in a Xvid movie - great feature if you have to continue watching a movie midway.

A little slow to power up from stand-by - not a huge deal breaker.

Works as intended. Everything is working great on this unit. It plays anything I throw at it without a hickup and the loadtimes are good as well. The recall funtion is also very nice and works perfectly.

Does, in fact, play any *properly encoded* divx files I've tried. And for me this is a real diverse assortment of files from many sources. The price was right $50 from newegg)

1) The "disk navigator" does not display more than the first 13 chars of long filenames - an inexcusable oversight considering that there is room for almost 40 chars 2) No pageUp/Down key for traversing long lists of files in the "disk navigator" 3)...

I bought this player because my old one is having trouble with some newer DVDs. This one plays everything fine. It has a lot of nice features, and an uncluttered remote.

The buttons on the device (not the remote) are overly small for some reason. It is hard to tell if I've actually pressed play or not. Not really a big deal since the majority of the time, I use the remote.

Better build quality than I expected. User interface is good. Extremely simple to connect, there's not much here. Has played .avi, VOB, mpg, and encrypted DVD nicely. Display is big enough to be readable, a nice cyan. Subtitles and sound channel...

It could use an aspect adjustment control. The power cord is a little short, as is the included composite video cable. I wish it had more audio and video outs. Like most electronic components today, the silkscreened text on the device is way too small...
