We've perhaps become a little blasé about budget DVD players, but this deck from Pioneer deserves nothing but your full attention. It will obviously appeal to those who don't want to spend a fortune to get a quality experience

Plays Everything!

 

I love this player. It has played every disc(CD-R,CD+R,DVD+R) and format so far. Right now I'm using component cables set to progressive scan. The picture is stunning. I will hook up HDMI tomorrow. My only gripe is Toshibas HD-A2 is now being...

I gave it to my daughter and bought an Oppo 980 w/ USB 2.0, 7.1 decoder built-in, SACD and DVD Audio, better long filename display and firmware updates from the manufacturer.

Plays DVDs and Divx/xvids burned to DVDs well

USB 1.1 port. Divx/xvid files played from an attached USB hard drive have an annoying skip like it drops a few frames about once a minute

Pioneer . . .

 

I've bought alot of stuff from newegg and just waiting for the right moment to purchase I would like to continue to give them my business.

Found this over on the manufacturer's website for same price and .01 cent shipping

Newegg hasn't lowered the price to beat the manufacturers deal or got a better shipping option

Low price, Newegg shipping, what more can you ask for. I do think it was cheaper doing business with Newegg.com two years ago, but so was gasoline.

This suckah plays digital video in 16:9 emulation mode... translation: you can get full-screen video on an analog screen. It also remembers where you left off on a dvd when interrupted and turned off. Love it. Oh year, and there's a USB port. I'm...

I think there's one line that is higher end, but I don't care

Very Nice DVD Player

 

I have not tried the upscaling yet. Just ordered a HDMI cable so that I can give it a shot

Very sleek look. Fairly easy menu and remote is nice as well. Picture quality is great

I have a lot of DVD's with custom printed labels on them and they all start skipping around 30 minutes. Not to happy with that when I know other people that can play them fine. Not really DVD players problem though

Great DVD player

 

I wish filenames scrolled so you could see the whole name when it's a long one.

Plays all DivX/XviD i have thrown at it. USB flash drives work flawlessly. Good menu system. All the outputs to hook it up to anything. Small and fits anywhere

NTFS will not work with USB so no huge HDD's without partitioning
