good buy

 

a lot cheaper than BR and HD-DVD

gives me a good picture on my DVDs so I don't have to replace them with Blue-ray or HD-DVD

it took me a little while to understand the settings

Excellent

 

I record regular tv to disk with my Happauge, burn to a dvd-rw and play back with this. Much better than regular TV.

Great picture. Lots of options. Looks FANTASTIC with the Olevia 37" lcd I purchased from Newegg

None really. Takes some setup. No hdmi cable

Panasonic DVD-S52K DVD Player with HDMI Output,Up-Conversion and HD (1080i/720p)

 

I bought this to go along with my new LCD and I'm glad I did. This player has a large number of options for setup on both audio and video. Movies look fantastic. I can't imagine being able to get much better of a picture off of a standard DVD.

HD up-conversion over HDMI

No major cons. An eject button on the remote would have been nice

Both the S52S and the S52K have up conversion. They are identical except for the color

Great Product

 

Would buy again. If looking for reviews also look up the DVD-S52s as all of the hardware is the same it is just in a silver case

Does everthing as advertised. Black version of the DVD-S52S. Quick setup worked found the optical audio and correctly configured to my TV. So far has run all moives/media I have. Up coverts w/o problems
