I bought Magnavox because I thought it was a quality product.

THIS UNIT IS ABOSULELY A WASTE

 

I ORDERED ONE OF THESE FROM HEARLAND AMERICA. IT CAME. TRIED IT. WOULD NOT EVEN PLAY A VHS TAPE. AFTER 8 SECONDS THE MACHINE SHUT DOWN COMPLETE. A WASTE. ACCORDING TO HEARTLAND AMERICA I HAD TO BRUNT THE SHIPPING COSTS BACK. GARBAGE TO THAT I HAD ...

Unit turns off after 5 to 10 minutes of playtime.

 

Do not waste your money on this unless you're loaded and don't really care. This unit worked for 4 months only and now that the warranty is up, I can't return it. The unit shuts itself off after about 5 to 10 minutes of playtime. The manual suggests to...

Played and copied for almost 4 months.

Unit will shut itself off, recording process not worth the troubles. Terrible customer support.

In Search of a DVD recorder/VCR combo that WORKS properly.

 

Purchased one, returned it for defective one-touch copy button in front. Bought another unit at same Wal-Mart store, same defective one-touch copy button in front. Called Customer Service but they only provide useless "Customer No-Service" solutions....

Only go to Wal-Mart when buying cheap Chinese DVD recorder electronics.

All the "false promises” made by the company that make these DVD recorder/VCR combo units.

HORRIBLE product!!

 

I have only had my Philips Magnavox MWR20V6 DVD Recorder / VCR for a little over 3 months and it just stopped working. Strangely (or coincidently), it stopped working when Daylight Savings Time went into affect. Was working just fine the night before...

None!

Unit stopped working right after 90 day warranty, Horrible customer service!

The price is right and does a decent job of recording straight from the tv.
