Minimal negative points: 1)The red/green status light is VERY bright ! 2)The lack of batteries in the remote control is inconvenient but can be forgiven as it helps to keep the price to a minimum.

Good basic player which includes HDMI

Good looking, and at a reasonable price. One of the rare silver models available now. Good to have the HD option available.

A little bit miserly not to include batteries for remote, I think.
