I have this on dvd and only purchased on blu ray because I am a huge fan of Pacino and De Niro. The picture is only a small step up and the sound is not what you would call hd quality, but i give it four stars because the movie is a classic

I am rather dissapointed by this bluray.. Heat is one of my favourite movies- a classic movie now- and it deserved a much better treatment..the sound was very good..impressive..but the picture was not as half good as i expected...yes it is 15 years old...
