This little Sony Blu-Ray player has a great picture quality with Blu-Ray movies, and what I perceive to be above average DVD upscaling. CD audio playback over HDMI is acceptable, as the Sony is only being used as a transport.

I travel a lot and I purchased it to have on the road in hotels. It is compact and easy to use.

Since I have a Sony Smart TV I can use my TV remote for the BluRay player as well which is handy. Picture is great and the quality is as described.

I was looking for something to stream Amazon movies and play videos from a hard drive as well as play blu-rays and this fits the bill. It does a good job of playing just about any file type I throw at it when playing videos from a portable hard drive.

PS3 stopped recognizing BD, bought this as replacement. HDMI cable is not included.

In the old days, before internet shopping was the thing, I bought a complete 35mm set-up from B&H. Everything was as promised and I have always looked in the direction of B&H for electronic purchases. Oftentimes, other online retailers edged them out...

It is a very nice product from Sony. Timely delivered by B&H as usual. This product is loaded with lot of features.

For $[$], look at this as rent. In three or four years, you'll have to replace it. For me, it was the addition of Blu-Ray 3D to this Sony line. It works as well as 3D rentals from Xfinity. That shoul tell you most of what yo need to know.
