Enclave Audio's wireless 5.1 offers simplicity and solid performance

 

The Enclave CineHome HD may not look or feel like a $1,200 home-theater system, but the sound, at least by wireless standards, is pretty good. Just don't expect the same audio chops as similarly priced wired systems.

The Enclave CineHome HD is an easy-to-install "wireless" 5.1 surround speaker system that sounds better than most sound bars. The rear bi-poles are a nice touch. The subwoofer is large and provides the sound with real guts.

Performance and build quality don't come close to wired systems. We wish the Enclave CineHome HD had tone controls, and adjusting the volume of the subwoofer isn't straightforward.

The Enclave CineHome HD may not look or feel like a $1,000 home-theater system, but the sound, at least by wireless standards, is pretty good.

The Enclave Audio CineHome HD is a simple WiSA wireless home theater in a box speaker system. In our review, we found that it outperformed budget and premium soundbars thanks to being a true 5.1.

The 'wire-free' claim is a wee bit overblown, but that doesn't mean this system isn't a good value.

True 5.1-channel surround sound ; Wireless speakers (more or less) ; Very easy to set up

No support for Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos, or DTS:X ; Finicky remote control ; Only one HDMI out

If you’re a home-theater-audio purist who can’t abide wires, and sound bars have left you wanting more, Enclave Audio’s CineHome HD is worthy of consideration. It’s not perfect, but it delivers plenty of bang for the buck and it eliminates at least...
